Cancer is complicated, just like humans. There are different types of cancer (breast, bowel, lung, skin) and different reasons for cancer developing (different chemicals, environmental factors, depending on where you’ve lived, what you’ve ate, random genetic mistakes and sometimes your family background – genes). So the proteins which are altered in cancer cells are complicated too. The evidence so far is that there are very few proteins that are altered in the majority of cancer cells and sometimes, the ones that are different in different cancers, are also found in normal cells in the body too. So the short answer is yes, the proteins are very likely to be different for different types of cancer.
