      I love this question…

When I was at school, science was a lesson where you learnt about a big mishmash of science facts and stuff.

Now, I like to think of science as a more of a skill, or a method, that allows you to discover all of the things that you learn about. When I teach science now, I like to talk about ‘how’ science works, the importance of asking how people found out what they did, as well as asking whether this was the best way of doing it. Being ‘good at science’ doesn’t necesasrily mean you know all the answers – it means you can think of some clever ways of finding those answers out.

I hope this answers your question, I’m happy to think more about it.
      Alice 🙂
