We’ve mixed the T cells with a protein we think is only found in cancer cells, and found that some parts of the protein make the T cells proliferate. We ended up with a larger population of T cells, most of which can see the protein and be stimulated by it.Then we put the T cells with cancer cells and showed that when they conditions are right they can kill the cancer cells in a flask in the lab. Now we need to see how many patients, and with which type of cancer, have T cells which can see the cancer protein and be stimulated by it.
