  Hi 08thomsonw, I started my PhD in 1991 when I was 21 years old. I am now 41. I did a BSc in genetics from 1988-1991 and then went to Cardiff to do a PhD in leukaemia. I finished when I was 25 and went to Canada to do research for 4.5 years, then London in 1999. I love my job and am so happy I chose it.
