  I work as part of a team – the most productive way to perform research. I have people who work for me, and who I work for, people I collaborate with (at the Universities I am employed by, and in Belfast, Cardiff, Nottingham, Oxford, Belgium, Germany and Singapore). I spend part of the day communicating with people and the rest of the day performing research – which also involves talking to get help, ideas or borrow reagents.
