Good question habiba. I think it is important for me to travel to Ethiopia and increase awareness of green chemistry to a country that could really benefit from it.

Ethiopia has access to alot of natural resources that it could find great use for. Also, it is a developing country, which means that it is growing in size and in its economy. The key to supporting this growth is to introduce science, that will help to improve technology and industry there. I think that an outsider coming in and talking to the kids will help to get them enthusiastic about science and green chemistry. I hope that my enthusiasm for the subject will help to inspire the kids in Ethiopia to be future scientists!
