• Question: why are you so determind to cure cancer? i agree with you though, i hate cancer! i was just interested why.

      I don’t know. It’s a pretty horrible disease and affects 1 in 3 people, which is an awful lot. I have friends, relatives and students who have been affected and cancer can be quite relentless. It would be nice to make a difference even if that is through inspiring someone else who makes a huge difference.
      I love science and medicine so my PhD on leukaemia was right up my street. I am not sure I will cure cancer (in fact I seriously doubt it) but it’s a bit like playing chess, it’s interetsing trying to get across the board.

    you are the sort of person that would be a role model, you are amazing, you are so determind to cure it, even though it would be hard buit the fact that your trying is amazing… i have a few people in my family that have it so i agree with you all the way on this one. well done!

    Wow, Sophie lovely comments. Thank you. It means alot when someone says such positive things about you. I really do enjoy my job and love telling people about it as you will have noticed 🙂
    You are obviously eloquent and smart, and will be great at whichever career you chose. Primary school music teacher or photographer both sound fun.
